The people of Çerkezköy showed great interest in the aid campaign launched for the citizens affected by the 7.7 magnitude earthquake, the epicenter of which was Kahramanmaraş and felt in 10 provinces.
Citizens of Çerkezköy, who wanted to deliver aid, especially ready-made food, heater, blanket, unused clothes and boots, to the earthquake victims flocked to the Çerkezköy Municipality Service Building.

Çerkezköy Mayor Vahap Akay stated that citizens who want to extend a helping hand to earthquake victims can join the aid campaign and said, “We started an aid campaign in coordination with AFAD for the 7.7 magnitude earthquake, the epicenter of which is Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş and affecting 10 provinces. As soon as our citizens became aware of the campaign, they started to deliver the aid materials they prepared to the Çerkezköy Municipality Service Building.”
Stating that life continues in the region where the earthquake took place despite the harsh winter conditions, Çerkezköy Mayor Vahap Akay said, “Our citizens affected by the earthquake are currently urgently required to provide ready-made food, blankets, clothes, boots, heaters, diapers, etc. They need basic supplies such as All of Turkey is mobilized to heal the wounds of our citizens. Our citizens who want to extend a helping hand to earthquake victims from Çerkezköy can bring the aid they have prepared to the Service Building of our Municipality and deliver them. I call on all our sensitive citizens to extend a helping hand to the earthquake region,” he said.

Stating that the collected aid will be sent to the earthquake area as soon as possible and delivered to the earthquake victims, Vahap Akay said, “I would like to thank all our helpful citizens in advance.
