CHP Tekirdağ Provincial Chairman Volkan Nallar made the following statements in his statement:
“Our pain is indescribable. We wish God’s mercy once again to all our citizens who lost their lives in the earthquake disaster, and a speedy recovery to our wounded. After the earthquake we experienced on February 6, as the Republican People’s Party, under the leadership of our Chairman, Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, we set out by saying “We will overcome this disaster in solidarity”. Since then, we have been working selflessly to heal our wounds. Irresponsibility, lack of control, incompetence, looting, theft before and after the earthquake; It raised the question of “where is the state”. As the organization of the Republican People’s Party, we say it once again, as emphasized by our President. The blood of our citizens is on the hands of the government. The government has brought the presidential system. The one-man regime paralyzed the state. The state has become unmanageable. The only man responsible for all these experiences is the one man and the regime he has imposed on our country.
“SOCIAL MEDIA HAS BEEN BANNED, Aggravated”
The government, which assumed the responsibility of managing the state, could not provide coordination from the first moments of the earthquake. In the first 48 hours, which are the most critical hours, it was late to intervene in the earthquake zones, and our citizens were watched as they died under the rubble. Their incompetence has cost the lives of tens of thousands of our people. While our people were groaning under the rubble, our trained and experienced hero Mehmetçi was kept in their barracks. Social media, where all aid and rescue activities are coordinated, has been banned and aggravated. In addition to this, young people, journalists and scientists who asked questions were detained. Difficulties were brought to the institutions that rushed to help the wreckage.
“THEY LAUNCHED A COMMUNICATION CAMPAIGN UNDER THE DISASTER OF THE CENTURY”
The government had to take a step back with the call of our President, “Either arrest us all or release the young people and journalists you have been arresting since the night.” Worse still, those in power tried to describe this disaster, which grew in size with incompetence and incompetence, to the citizens as a “destiny plan”. It is desired to bring this issue to the agenda by putting forward certain names. From here, we are telling our people once again clearly and unequivocally: The elections will be on time. All institutions of the state should know this fact well. The relevant articles of our constitution are clear: Elections cannot be postponed except for war. Even in the event of war, the Turkish Grand National Assembly takes the decision. Neither the Turkish Grand National Assembly nor the YSK have the authority to postpone the election in case of a disaster. The Supreme Election Council’s request for such a thing would be a coup attempt on democracy. As the Republican People’s Party, we will consider such an initiative in this way.
“WE WILL SCROP THE FOUNDATION OF THE MIND OF GREEDY, AMBITION, AND AUTHENTICITY”
The message of the AKP Chairman, “Give me one more year” means nothing. Turkey gave it exactly 20 years. After this time, the people will not give to him, not even 1 year, not even 1 hour left. The earthquake was the collapse of this outdated mentality and this incompetent system. Turkey needs a big change. With the votes of the people, we will change this incompetent government that has collapsed like a disaster on the country. But simply changing the government is not enough. What really needs to change is the one-man mentality. We will dig up the mentality of greed, ambition and arrogance. This mentality change will be the cornerstones of power change. With a new mindset, honest teams, ethical politics, and resources that are used correctly, we will quickly recover Turkey. We will draw a new line. Aside from the rotten rent system, which is the grave of our people, clean and spacious.
