University of Trakya A workshop titled “Current Issues of Balkan Studies” was held by the (TÜ) Balkan Research Institute.
According to the statement made by the university, the meeting held online TurkeyBalkan Studies Application and Research Center directors from 10 universities in Turkey and Trakya University Balkan Research Institute Advisory Board members attended.
In the statement, TÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Erhan Tabakoglustated that Trakya University is increasing its effectiveness and power day by day in the way of becoming a brand in the Balkans.
Noting that the Balkan Research Institute has accomplished important works in line with the Balkans mission and vision of Trakya University, Tabakoğlu said:
“Trakya University is one of the most important educational institutions in Turkey with its studies focused on the Balkans. We are working for our institute, which is the only one in our country in the field of Balkan studies, to expand its field of activity and produce projects that will lead the development. As Trakya University, we will strengthen our academic structure, which is strong in this field, in the future. “We are taking steps to develop and expand it. On behalf of our university, we have students who receive postgraduate education in Balkan Studies in Balkan countries and learn the language of the countries they are in. After they complete their education and return, our Balkan Research Institute will have a stronger structure.”
