DEMİRTAŞ SOLVE THE KNOT
Attempts that the HDP would nominate its own candidate had started to come to the fore a few months ago. While it is clear that there are deep differences of opinion between Selahattin Demirtaş and Kandil in the Kurdish movement, a tweet by Selahattin Demirtaş, who has been imprisoned since 2016, was the step that untied the knot.

Demirtaş said, “Walk, Labor and Freedom Alliance! Walk Socialist Alliance! Walk Nation Alliance! Go, Mr. Kemal! Walk side by side. Unite, reconcile and rebuild this destroyed country. We have no other choice, we will make it.” In his message, which included his statements, it was interpreted that he could support Kılıçdaroğlu’s candidacy more than anyone else.

Considering that the Labor and Freedom Alliance, which includes socialist circles, could push the 12-13 percent band, Demirtaş, directly throwing Akşener’s “candidate to win” anxiety into the trash, brought Kılıçdaroğlu to the first place in his candidacy.
