President of the AKP, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, announced the increase to be given to civil servants and retirees as 25 percent.
Erdogan used the following statements in his speech:
“We were proud to reach the highest export in the history of the Republic with 254.2 billion dollars. We came to a country that has a production center in its region from a country that exports 36 billion dollars.
We started the day with the first sign of a major recession in inflation, which we talked about for a long time. We ended 2022 consumer inflation with a realization even below the medium-term target. We will see that the downward trend in inflation will continue in the coming months. Our goal is to completely remove the bubble on inflation this year and to remove the issue from our country’s agenda as of next year. I would like to give the good news that we will apply the salary increase rate of civil servants, civil servants and all other retirees as 25 percent.”
