CHP Edirne Deputy Assoc. Dr. Okan Gaytancıoğlu brought up the problems of SGK employees. Making a speech on the subject in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Assoc. Dr. Gaytancıoğlu drew attention to the fact that the burden of SSI employees, who already have a heavy workload and are struggling to run the business with insufficient number of employees, has increased many times with the structuring and EYT regulations.
PERSONAL INSUFFICIENCY IN MOST SOCIAL SECURITY CENTERS IS EXTREME
CHP Edirne Deputy Assoc. Dr. In his speech, Okan Gaytancıoğlu said: “Last week, the EYT regulation was enacted, this week you brought the restructuring law. The Minister of Labor cannot see because he does not look in front of his house, but all these regulations mean that SGK employees work in worse conditions than slaves, far below the wages they deserve.
What good would a Ministry do to the country if it doesn’t benefit its own employees? The bonuses of the SGK workers, which were usurped with the Decree No. 666, should be paid again, the additional payments should be increased to the level of other institutions, and additional indicators of 3600 should be given to the SGK employees. As in other public institutions, SGK employees also demand expertise and supervision through in-house exams.
Staff shortages are severe in most of the social security centres; Staff should be recruited urgently, specialist staff should be given to all SGK employees with a certain period of service, special service compensation rates should be increased, overtime wages and bonuses that they deserve should be paid urgently to all employees, and they demand that the revolving fund incomes be paid to pharmacists as well.”
