Republican People’s Party Kırklareli Deputy Vecdi Gündoğdu issued a message of getting well soon due to the earthquakes affecting Kahramanmaraş and 9 provinces.
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR NATION
Gündoğdu made the following statements in his message:
“At 04.17 at midnight on 06.02.2023, an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 occurred in the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş province, and then 7.6 in the Elbistan district at 13.24. Unfortunately, hundreds of our citizens lost their lives and thousands of our citizens were injured as a result of the destruction of thousands of our buildings in the earthquakes. In the earthquake, many provinces and districts in Eastern Anatolia, Southeastern Anatolia, Central Anatolia and the Mediterranean Region were also felt.
The earthquake was intense and we had losses;
We mobilized to get over this disaster in our provinces of Kahramanmaraş, Hatay, Gaziantep, Osmaniye, Malatya, Adıyaman, Adana, Diyarbakır, Kilis and Şanlıurfa as soon as possible, to support search and rescue activities and to heal the wounds. With the instructions of our President, Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, we started our efforts to heal our wounds in unity and solidarity by preparing with all our strength, especially with our Metropolitan Municipalities, our vice presidents, PM members and deputies.
Within the scope of our work; to our provinces where the earthquake was felt the most; We urgently reach Kahramanmaraş, Hatay, Gaziantep, Osmaniye, Malatya, Adıyaman, Adana, Diyarbakır, Kilis and Şanlıurfa with our deputies, examining the works on site, and trying to support the completion of the deficiencies and the rescue efforts.
In order to meet the needs of our metropolitan and provincial municipalities in disaster areas; 51 municipalities sent 707 vehicles and 3,337 personnel. Rescue vehicles, fire engines and ambulances, food and cleaning supplies were sent. 15 drinking water trucks, 21 food trucks, 42,500 blankets, 15 thousand boxes of hygiene materials were sent. Our hope; the pain does not get worse, the loss of life does not increase. It is to heal the wounds as soon as possible in unity and solidarity. May God have mercy on our citizens who lost their lives in the earthquake; I wish a speedy recovery to our injured citizens. I wish patience to our citizens and our nation who have experienced this great disaster and pain. Thank you to our nation. “
