Speaking before the protocol ceremony, Mayor Gerenli stated that it is cold outside, but the weather is warming with the protocol of brotherhood and friendship, and said, “Today, we are happy and excited to sign a neighborhood and brotherhood protocol with our neighbor and friend Haskovo Municipality. Walking towards our bright future in our Lüleburgaz, where everything started with love. We are working to increase social and cultural interactions by increasing our cooperation with our friends,” he said.

Mayor Gerenli emphasized that brotherhood and friendship will develop with cooperation between the two municipalities and continued his words as follows:

“Especially in terms of climate change, environmental problems, artistic and sportive development, and people’s self-development, Haskovo Municipality is doing very good things. We are doing the same. We are doing the same. Especially between Lüleburgaz and Haskovo, the development of brotherhood of our peoples, our children, our youth, getting to know each other better and cooperation. “We are very happy to be together to walk confidently towards the future in the Balkan geography. I believe that we will expand the relations of friendship, peace and brotherhood.”

Haskovo Mayor Stanislav Dechev stated that the protocol is not just paper, and said:

“The protocol signed today is not just a document or paper. We will sign a protocol for brotherhood and friendship. Today we officially declare our friendship. We will develop it further from now on. Because we now have many ideas for joint projects in the fields of sports, education and culture. “I believe that we will develop these projects with the help of the peoples of Haskovo and business people. The protocol signed today is the first protocol I will sign as the Mayor of Haskovo. This is no coincidence.
