Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality Search and Rescue teams, which moved to the earthquake area immediately after the 7.7 magnitude earthquake, the epicenter of which is Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş, rescued a 4-year-old girl from under the rubble in Hatay İskenderun.

Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Kadir Albayrak, stating that as Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality, stands by the citizens affected by the earthquake, said, “First of all, I would like to convey our best wishes to all our citizens affected by the earthquake, especially Kahramanmaraş and Gaziantep. We have casualties. Thank you to our nation. As always, we will get through these difficult days in unity and solidarity. We will heal our wounds together. At such a time, as soon as we received the news of the earthquake, we took action immediately. As Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality, we sent 3 response vehicles, 2 rescue vehicles, 1 water tanker, 2 excavators, 1 JCB bucket, 2 trucks, 2 minibuses, along with our 39 personnel and 55 citizens, consisting of disaster volunteers, to the earthquake zone to support search and rescue and debris removal activities. . Our search and rescue teams rescued a 4-year-old girl in Hatay Iskenderun, and made us feel very happy. I would like to thank all our search and rescue teams who worked wholeheartedly with their strength and made us feel this happiness. We are always with our citizens financially and morally. I wish God’s mercy once again to our citizens who lost their lives in the earthquake, and I wish a speedy recovery to the survivors. Get well soon, my beautiful Turkey,” he said.
