will release the movie about Bernie Madoff on January 4th!

Set to premiere on January 4, 2023, “Madoff: The Monster of Wall Street” chronicles the rise and fall of the multi-billion dollar intrigue that has managed to run its gimmick probably undetected for decades, defrauding thousands of investors for close to $65 billion. and working with some of the most dangerous people in the world.

According to the trailer released on December 8, 2022, the documentary series explores how the plan worked for so long as the financial system ignored it and regulators, including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), failed.

As a reminder, Madoff’s plan began to unravel during the Great Recession of 2007-2009 when investors lined up trying to withdraw their money en masse, and Madoff realized that because he had used the funds, he lacked the financial assets to meet all these demands.

Cornered, she confessed everything to her two sons, Mark and Andrew, who worked at her firm (although Madoff insisted they were unaware of the plan), and turned him in to federal authorities. In 2021, 82-year-old Madoff died in prison, where he was serving a 150-year sentence.

Symbol of financial fraudster

Meanwhile, Madoff has become the symbol of a typical financial swindler, with both Robert Kiyosaki, author of “Rich Dad Poor Dad,” and podcast host Joe Rogan using Madoff to criticize the now-bankrupt crypto business founder, Sam Bankman-Fried.

Worse, Bankman-Fried mistakenly revealed in an interview with Bloomberg’s financial columnist months before the collapse of FTX, which pushed crypto market capitalization back to pre-2021 levels, that it was essentially a Ponzi scheme.

Meanwhile, the trial of Gregory Coleman, a retired Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agent involved in Madoff’s case, and Jordan Belfort, known as the ‘Wolf of Wall Street’, announced that the SBF investigation should be made to the United States.

At the same time, Bernie Madoff’s attorney, Ira Lee Sorkin, believes that SBF could face an extended prison sentence if found guilty and possibly face further charges, as well as more collaborators being arrested in the coming days.
