The salary increase rate, which was announced to be 25 percent for civil servants and retirees, was increased to 30 percent. The amount of support to be made to the employer for the minimum wage was increased to 400 liras.

MINIMUM RETIRED SALARY WILL BE 5 THOUSAND 500 LIRA
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that the rate of increase in the salaries of civil servants and retirees in 2023 has been increased to 30 percent. Erdogan also noted that the minimum pension amount was increased from 3,500 lira to 5,500 lira. Noting that a new decision has been taken on the amount of support to be made to the employer in the minimum wage, Erdoğan announced that the said amount has been increased from 250 lira to 400 lira.

OFFICERS AND PENSIONS WAS ANNOUNCED AS 25 PERCENT
Following the December inflation data announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) yesterday (January 3), it was announced that the increase rate, which was calculated as 15.4 percent for retirees and 16.4 percent for civil servants, would be applied as 25 percent for both segments. The announced hike rate was met with reaction from both retirees and civil servants.
