Republican People’s Party Kırklareli Deputy Türabi Kayan submitted a parliamentary question asking the Minister of Family and Social Services Derya Yanık to answer. “THE DISABLED CITIZENS AND THEIR FAMILIES PUSH THE DEPENDENCE”
CHP Kırklareli Deputy Türabi Kayan submitted a parliamentary question about home care allowance, demanding an answer from the Minister of Family and Social Services Derya Yanık. Kayan made the following statements in his motion:
“Disabled in need of care; It is a person who has difficulty in fulfilling all kinds of needs such as eating, drinking, toilet and bathroom alone or cannot fulfill them at all and constantly needs the help and care of others in order to continue his life.
In order to receive home care allowance, the income per person in the household of our disabled citizen must be less than 2/3 of the minimum wage.
If the income of the people living in the household exceeds this limit while receiving home care allowance, this should be reported to the Ministry of Family and Social Policies. If this situation is determined by the ministry, the home care money received until that day can be requested back.
QUESTIONS FROM KAYAN TO MINISTER YANIK
We have thousands of disabled citizens whose home care salary is cut in this way. This practice pushes our disabled citizens and their families to despair.
In this context;
1- As the Minister of Family and Social Services; Do you find this understanding, which seeks an opportunity to cut the care salaries of our disabled citizens, who are the own children of our own country, correct?
2- This application; “We have the power to take the Syrian refugees who do nothing all day, wander around the beaches, sit in coffee houses from morning to night, under social security, but we do not have the power to pay the care salaries of our own children, our disabled citizens.”
