The countdown continues for the third meeting of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission, which is closely related to millions of employees. The minimum wage directly concerns more than 7 million employees and indirectly all citizens. The date of the third meeting on the minimum wage has been announced. The Minimum Wage Determination Commission will hold its third meeting on Tuesday, December 20 at 14.00.
THE FIRST NUMBERS WILL COME TO THE TABLE
The Minimum Wage Determination Commission, which met twice to determine the new minimum wage, is expected to pronounce the first figures of the parties at this meeting. The Minimum Wage Determination Commission held its second meeting on 14 December at the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
Pevrul Kavlak, Secretary General of the Confederation of Turkish Trade Unions (Turk-Is), who made a statement after the meeting, which lasted about 3 hours, said that numbers were not discussed at the meeting.
Kavlak said, “The number was not discussed at the meeting. Some of the numbers we requested from TUIK came, some did not. We reiterated our request for employer support.” Akansel Koç, Secretary General of the Confederation of Turkish Employers’ Unions (TİSK), said, “We will meet again for the final figure.”
