The President of the United States has experienced a similar situation before. Biden’s fall on the stairs to Air Force One came nearly two years after he similarly fell on the same stairs at Joint Andrews Base. Following Biden’s March 2019 fall, where he stumbled on multiple steps, the White House said Biden was “100% in good shape” and attributed the stumbling to severe conditions.
“It’s pretty windy outside, very windy outside. I almost fell down the stairs. His condition is 100% good,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters at the time.
